I really like American Idol. I don't exactly love it, but I do have favourite contestants. I really hope that one of them wins.

One of the contestants from a long time ago, Sway, he was Filipino so my mom wanted him to win :D Hehe. Ah, well, we're not in America, so we can't exactly help our favourite contestants out.

Anyway, I was surprised but not the least bit sad that Kellie Pickler was voted out. Her song the last time (For the "Greatest Love Songs of All Time") wasn't exactly the greatest song to pick. I love the song, don't get me wrong, but it was rather monotone with that oldies movie feel. I had to agree with Simon 100% about her performance, it was bland, and I felt extremely bored. However, I was surprised that she got out because her fanbase was HUGE (they even have a site dedicated to her already!). I would expect they'd do everything they could to keep her in, but not everyone could afford to vote a lot ^^;




My favourite two contestants are Katharine McPhee (hehe like Nanny McPhee) and Chris Daughtry. They have really wonderful voices. I'm leaning towards Katharine more, but if Chris won that would be great, too. Katharine is also really pretty, and has great stage presence, and captivates her audience well. I always look forward to her performances. I just hope America will crown her American Idol :D Chris has that edgy, rock, oomph voice that I really like. I'm more of a rocker-punk listener (some pop, too), so his voice is like most of the bands' voices that I listen to, so I'm familiar with it. But if he sang country, I would be a little (okay, more than a little) miffed. I don't like country music at all. I actually dislike it more than Rap and Hip Hop. At least I won't be part to blame if he gets crowned American Idol and sings country songs since I can't vote, anyway. I'm in Canada here!

I can't wait to see Canada's Next Top Model. It's supposed to be really good, and I'm looking forward to it. I'm not really looking forward to Canadian Idol, but when it comes, I'll watch it. I kind of despise Ben Mulroney, though, so he acts like a deflector for the show -_- No offence! I also want to see who wins for The Amazing Race and America's Next Top Model. I'll talk about that in a different post, though! Maybe tomorrow. I'll place my bets then, 'kay?
